1 week to go

One week to go until the Art and Craft Fair, its getting very exciting.... On the wind down now, with most things completed..... Just a few Pocket Mirrors left to paint. Wanted to share this latest painting and journal with you.... Dont you just love the metal flower on the front????

Etsy Finds

Just received this bag from a wonderful etsy seller (for my birthday)..... I just LOVE it, so many pockets and even a fob to hang your keys off...... Just had to share, check them out at Heli's etsy store.

I've also come across these wonderful scrap caddy's, what a clever idea for your sewing table dont you think??? Have a peep at them at nstitches4u etsy store.

Got Flowers?

I dont know about you all but I just cant get enough of vintage millinery lately, just so lovely.... been playing a lot with creating my own flowers for some more pieces for the art fair, layering different fabrics, resin paper flowers, rusted ribbon, rust dyed fabric, upholstry fabrics.

See this darker fabric in the flower below?? I had enough of it to finish making a cover for our family room lounge until I started making for the art fair LOL Now I have to start the cover all over again in another fabric :))

Art Bags

Been dying to share these with you all, my latest "art bags" in the small size, these could become such an obsession, just LOVE them all :))
Some of the bits ive included in the bags are altered rusty fabric, dyed handmade flowers, rusted leaves, antique lace...... much Fun!!!

On to making some larger ones now, only 4 weeks till the fair!!!

So much to share...

Still busy preparing for the Art Fair, only 5 weeks to go (eeekkk)....... have so many new
things to share with you but sadly no camera at present, should have it back in a few days, cant wait to share my new creations with you.

Those who know me well know im a sucker for a unique handbag :)) Been meaning to have a go at making my own for way to long now (even have unopened patterns) Here's the first one ive created, I have 7 more of these to photograph and show you, they are more like "art bags", 7x6"........ working on some larger ones now, really on a roll LOL

Journals a plenty

Still having a ball creating for this upcoming fair, 7 weeks and counting eekkkkk. Im literally knee deep in fabric, lace, ribbon, buttons but I wouldnt have it any other way :))

These are some of my latest additions, most have hand bound journal paper inside and have textured covers with all sorts of fabric and paper embedded in the cover. Ive also created a cloth covered photo album to have photos of all my work in, kind of like a portfolio. Got such great feedback locally from that, ive made a few to sell as well :)) (This Green one below is a photo album, with the text "memories" on it)

With so many artists painting ladies faces now, I do hope im finding my own unique style
in it and while im creating for this fair im very consious of staying true to myself. Those
self doubt demons are always there arent they :))

House Pictures Finally and Thanks Di

Finally some pictures of the new house, im so slack with updating things like this, too busy making and taking pictures of art LOL The gardens are getting there, mostly the front done, turf to just over half of the block, we have planted some australian native plants which are slowly establishing.... fun, fun :))

Also wanted to say thank you so much to the lovely Di for awarding me with two blog awards this week. You are so kind and thoughtful, thank you again!!
